On 12th November, a day dedicated to Waste & Circular Economy, Remi CESARO, Director of Zero Waste City, participated in two sessions – an individual expert talk, and a panel discussion.
Upcoming Regulations and Policies in Waste Management [Expert Talk]
In this 30-minute presentation, Remi provided an overview of the Singapore waste management ecosystem. He also highlighted some of current government’s commitments and targets towards e-waste, food waste, and packaging waste. Finally, he outlined both current and upcoming regulations and policies shaping the waste management sector.

Following the presentation, Remi joined a fellow industry expert for a panel discussion. Together, they shared practical insights, real-world examples, and discussed the challenges and business opportunities resulting from the implementation of the Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR).

What is AlterCOP29?
Founded in 2024, it is a remote alternative to COP 29 (the 29th United Nations Conference of the Parties on Climate Change held at Baku Olympic Stadium in Baku, Azerbaijan). It keeps people informed about COP happenings in real time, all without travelling across the world.
